NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Joe Mixon (ankle) is expected to play in Week 5 against the Packers.
Rapoport added that Mixon "won't be 100 percent." Considering he was called week-to-week on Monday, it's a bit of a surprise to see Mixon suiting up for this game. Bengals coach Zac Taylor was ultimately more optimistic later in the week, calling him day-to-day. It's hard to know what to expect from Mixon but he is unlikely to see his usual workload. Samaje Perine and Chris Evans should see an uptick in snaps. How much they eat into Mixon's volume remains to be seen. Mixon can only be used as a risky RB2/3 option this week based on the ambiguity of his role.
