ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports the Seahawks are bracing for Russell Wilson (finger) to miss "at least a month and possibly 6-8 weeks."
Wilson's MRI revealed a torn tendon in his middle-finger that required surgery. It's a worst case scenario for the Seahawks, as there was hope Wilson was only dealing with a strain. Wilson looks out for Week 6, and barring an unexpected recovery, could be sidelined the next month. It's possible Wilson only misses three games and returns after Seattle's Week 9 bye. The Seahawks will turn to Geno Smith in Wilson's absence, who threw for 130 yards and a touchdown in relief of Wilson in Thursday's loss to the Rams.
