Bengals coach Zac Taylor called Joe Mixon (ankle sprain) "day-to-day."
Taylor also noted that Mixon will be limited in practice to start the week. An Adam Schefter report from earlier in the day said that Mixon was considered "week-to-week", but Taylor seems to be more optimistic. He was also optimistic when he called Mixon week-to-week last year, only for the back to miss the final ten games of the year in 2020. Still, it's an encouraging sign that Mixon's ankle sprain won't sideline him for long. Samaje Perine has served as his backup through four weeks and would be in line for RB2 volume if Mixon can't suit up in Week 5. The Bengals face an injury-weakened Green Bay defense which should help Perine convert on his potential volume. He's a must-add in all fantasy leagues.
