49ers general manager John Lynch said Jeff Wilson (knee) could be activated from the PUP list and play in Week 9 against the Cardinals.
Wilson hasn't played this season since suffering a knee injury in May. Kyle Shanahan could galaxy brain Wilson into a backfield timeshare alongside Elijah Mitchell, who has served as a workhorse in his four full starts this season. It's more likely Wilson sees limited usage upon his return from injury. He should be picked up by RB-needy fantasy managers in case Mitchell misses any more time in 2021.
