Dolphins head coach Brian Flores said he's "optimistic" Tua Tagovailoa (finger) will play in Week 9 against the Texans.
Flores said Tagovailoa's injured finger is "sore and swollen" after banging it on a helmet during Miami's Week 8 loss to Buffalo. After a couple solid outings, Tua in Week 8 completed 21-of-39 passes for 205 yards and an interception against the Bills. He profiles as a borderline QB1 this week against a horrendous Houston secondary allowing 8.1 yards per pass attempt, the third highest in the league. If Tua were to sit, Jacoby Brissett would fill in and should be usable in superflex formats.
