HC: Matt Nagy

Bears head coach Matt Nagy said he has tested positive for COVID-19.

Nagy is one of four people in the Bears organization who have tested positive for the virus. Nagy, who is vaccinated, will need to test negative for COVID twice this week if he's going to be on the sideline for the team's Week 8 game against Chicago. Bears offensive coordinator Bill Lazor would likely take over as head coach if Nagy is out for Week 8. Nagy's positive COVID test comes as the team's season is circling the proverbial drain following a Week 7 drubbing at the hands of the Bucs, who toyed with the Bears on Sunday. Hardly anything could go worse for the Bears in 2021, though one wouldn't want to jinx it.
