QB: Jimmy Garoppolo

Jimmy Garoppolo (calf) returned to practice Monday.

Garoppolo was sidelined for the 49ers' Week 5 outing with the Cardinals and then rested up during San Francisco's Week 6 bye. Barring any setbacks, it appears he'll be able to play versus the Colts this week. Trey Lance is dealing with a knee sprain and was not spotted at practice. If he is unable to back up Garoppolo, Nate Sudfeld will serve as the 49ers' QB2 for a second time this year. The return of Garoppolo will give the passing game a boost and keep Deebo Samuel, who is averaging 109.6 receiving yards per game this year, in the WR1 conversation.
