Speaking Monday, coach Kyle Shanahan said Jimmy Garoppolo's calf injury "wasn’t as bad as we thought," and he will be reevaluated Wednesday.
"Today, he’s in a lot of pain and still sore," Shanahan continued. "Wednesday, if it’s getter better, he has a good chance." Shanahan labeled Garoppolo's injury as a "calf contusion," which is a bruise. After Garoppolo said he "anticipated" missing a couple weeks, it doesn't sound that dire. Garoppolo may have a shot to be out there Week 5 against Arizona, though the Niners have their bye the following week.
