Jordan Schultz reported Buccaneers TE Rob Gronkowski will not play in Week 6 against the Eagles due to a rib injury.
Buccaneers coach Bruce Arians stated early in the week that it would be "very close" whether Gronkowski would be able to play on Thursday. It evidently was not that close, as it's only Tuesday and Gronkowski has already been declared out. Cameron Brate and O.J. Howard will continue to split snaps sans Gronk, with Brate running more routes and Howard operating in a blocking role.
